Providence Public Library

The Digital Ark (TDAC) has established an archiving partnership with the Providence Public Library that spans two years, eight collections, and nearly 5,000 items. TDAC applies the highest of standards to every step in the process of capturing digital images in cultural heritage settings, including using equipment on the cutting edge of digital photography, set-ups designed to capture a wide range of objects in an optimal studio setting, ensuring FADGI-compliant 600 ppi resolution for archival quality master TIFFs, and facilitating the integration of 200 ppi downloadable web access images into online platforms. TDAC’s in-house expertise extends from project coordination to web and database development, programming customization for website features and functionality, all aspects of digital imaging, and archives management, preservation, and metadata capture.
