How We Do It

Digital Image Capture

We complete a collection assessment to define a long-term digital preservation plan based on objectives, schedule and budget. We digitize using cameras, digital backs, copystands, V-cradles, light tables, and scanners. Processing involves metadata capture, color balancing, retouching, OCR, digital watermarks, Quality Control, and derivative files.

Online Database Development

We assess functionality requirements with usability studies. We migrate existing data, and customize workflows and layouts. This database is a tool for rapid image capture workflow optimization, digital asset management, publishing collections online, e-commerce sites, and producing interactive media.

Interactive Application Development
We develop interactive applications that draw upon the digital assets and metadata contained in these digital repositories. We facilitate the production of media not only online such as collections website portals with e-commerce modules, but also on-site including iBeacons, interactive guides, and iPad kiosk exhibits.

Stewardship of Digital Archives
We follow proper digital preservation standards and metadata schema to ensure sustainability including compliance with FADGI and the Library of Congress. On-site and off-site back ups, redundant servers, and cloud-hosting solutions ensure long-term access and prevent the risk of data loss.
