Jonathan DeAngelis

Jonathan, a native Rhode Islander, graduated from the University of Vermont with a dual bachelor’s degree in History and Studio Art. As an artist, Jonathan is primarily a photographer, while also working in sculpture, graphic design, animation, and digital media. As a historian, he researched modern Central and Eastern Europe, centering around ideas of nationalism, identity, and queer / gender study - concepts that often carry over to his artistic work. Combining his two fields of interest, as well as his enthusiasm for digital technology and innovation, Jon guides and organizes client projects from start to finish at The Digital Ark. Having worked with a dynamic range of clients and collections, he utilizes that experience to efficiently designate workflow and digitization techniques compliant with cultural heritage industry standards. Jon also taps into his work experience in marketing, brand strategy, and web design to assist with The Digital Ark in its digital presence and database development.
